Practice Appointment System

There are a number of different ways to book an appointment.

  1. Same day telephone appointments

    a. We have an allocation of book on the day appointments that can be booked from 8am that morning.

  2. Pre-bookable telephone appointments     

    a. These are telephone appointments for non urgent queries that can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance

  3. Pre-bookable face to face appointment

    a. These appointments can be booked with a clinician up to 3 days in advance.

Please note if you have a telephone call and the clinician needs to see you they will give you an appointment to attend the surgery.

  1. PATCHS

    a. We have a limited amount of online appointments you can book via the patches platform.

  2. Fit note extension

    a. If you have already consulted with a doctor for a fit note (Med3) and need it extended please call the surgery and we will book you a slot. Please have the reason for the note and the dates you require. The clinician will text or print your note depending on your preference. This is not a further consult and if you need to speak to a doctor please book an appointment.
     

Home Visit Requests

Home Visit requests must ideally be made by 10.30am. The calls are vetted by a doctor or our Advanced Nurse Practitioner and you may be advised to attend the surgery in person instead.
 

Extended Access – Evening and Weekend Appointments

Did you know you can get a GP appointment in the evening and at the weekend?

Dinas Lane Medical Centre is part of South and Central Primary Care Network. Our network consists of a group of 11 practices who are working collaboratively to provide care for our collective patient population. We offer Extended Access appointments of an evening up to 7.30pm and also on Saturdays between 9am and 5pm. Our Saturday clinics are hosted by Roby Medical Centre, based in Nutgrove Villa. We have a multidisciplinary team available to assist you. We offer telephone consultations and face to face consultations. For more details please speak to a member of the reception team.
