New Patient Registrations

Unfortunately due to unprecedented demand, Dinas Lane Medical Centre is seeing a surge in patients wanting to register with the Practice. Ordinarily we would welcome new patients registering with our Practice.

We are aware some practices have closed in the local area. This huge rise in new patients wanting to join our list is having a knock on effect upon our current patients and their ability to access the surgery for an appointment, as all newly registered patients require a New Patient Health Check appointment, and often many of these new patients have complex health needs that require urgent interventions including prescriptions, consultations and home visits.

We recognise the need to treat all our patients equally and fairly. As such, due to this unprecedented demand, we may not be able to process your request for a new patient registration if you are transferring from another local Knowsley GP Practice.

We will however take note of your details and we aim to try and register you as a patient within the next 28 days.

If, however, you do not currently have a local Knowsley GP within our practice boundary when trying to register, then we will prioritise your new patient registration with our practice.

Extension of our Practice Team

We have recently undertaken a study of our services and acknowledged that we needed to provide additional support to the nurses, therefore we have invested in our practice and appointed an assistant practitioner. Kath has settled in really well and has booked clinics 3 days a week. Kath undertakes Warfarin clinics, chronic disease reviews, vitamin B12 injections, flu & pneumonia vaccines as well as NHS health checks and new patient screening.

Emily has now joined Kath in the above role as she has qualified in September 2018.

We now have a Clinical Pharmacist working with us 5 days a week. Jayne will be dealing with a raft of issues/queries relating to medication which will hopefully allow the GPs more to time to look after sick patients. Jayne will also be holding her own clinics which will decided by the need of the practice/patient.
