We are proud to be able to say that in Knowsley we now have a Primary Care Assessment Service set up, also affectionately known as the ‘Hot Hub’, where patients with suspected or possible Covid symptoms can be seen, should they merit a face-to-face assessment by a Clinician. This would usually be indicated if further treatment is needed, which can only be implemented after examining the patient.
You may be directed to this centre, by appointment only, after speaking to one of our clinicians should they be concerned by your symptoms (notably a persistent fever or cough causing you to be unwell). This centre is located within the Nutgrove Villa building in Huyton Village.
You may have noticed the large white ‘tent’ structure adjacent to our practice premises. We have purchased this with the intention of examining our patients safely in their vehicles, minimising the risk of Covid to patients and staff, and will mostly for Practice Nurse based activity such as administering injections. This feature is LIVE and working well, thank you for your co-operation with this.
FACE MASKS & GLOVES
In a further attempt to keep all patients and staff safe, please can we request that patients and family members, if you are asked to attend the surgery for any reason, bring their own face mask and gloves (if available) for use when on site at the surgery. Many thanks!
